Bug Fix Fixed a bug that caused weapon icons at the bottom of the screen to not be shown when switching weapons after opening the inventory.     One thing in this game makes me scream "BS!" more than anything else: Shooting 2-4 bullets into someone and then getting killed by that same person with a headshot from his bolt action rifle. Absolutely infuriating. The idea that a player with a bolt action rifle can stand still and absorb bullets like a terminator to line up his precision shot on someone's head is absolutely absurd. It's one thing to get headshot by a guy you never saw. Arguments can be made that in this game, especially with the ability to abuse third person observation without exposure, the ability to pop out and kill someone instantly from several hundred meters away is overpowered to begin with. But that's another argument for another day. What cannot reasonably be argued, is that it's fine for someone who is getting shot to be able to stand absolutely still with no jostle to his aim. It makes bolt action rifles not only the supreme long range kings, but it also makes them superior to assault rifles in mid-range duels, which in my opinion is busted. A dude getting blasted by an assault rifle should have to TAKE COVER to be able to aim again cleanly. I strongly believe that part of what is driving the KAR98k meta is the fact that someone can use this weapon effectively in head to head engagements where they are taking damage. Rate of fire and ammo count are the perks of assault rifles, which is nice, but they cannot out-DPS a one-shot weapon in a duel. If you strip assault rifles of the ability to aim punch, then it essentially becomes an aim war where the guy with the more damaging weapon will win every time, everything else equal, which IMO is bad for the game. It means that precision rifles dominate more than just their intended range and also that suppression fire from assault rifles at distance does absolutely nothing to stop someone trying to headshot you with his bolt action. I personally think the game would be much better balanced if bullets inflicted aim punch, and you could make the amount of punch correlate to the scope zoom. So a 1x scope won't jostle too much but an 8x will. Thoughts?

    Hey guys, I feel like there needs to be some sort of penalty to KoS in this game. I keep running into people and shouting ''friendly'' on the mike, but nobody seems to care. Roleplaying is an important feature in a game like this and i just don't think shooting everything that moves helps everyone in their enjoyment of the game. Maybe there needs to be some sort of ''Bandit'' uniform to show that you killed a lot of people. Also, the developers need to tone down the amount of guns that spawn in this game. I just want to do some quiet fishing and farming but instead of finding a nice fishing rod or farming hoe, or some fertiliser, i keep finding assault rifles and such. It encourages KoS way too much, and guns need to me more rare. Obviously bandits who want to hold up people to rob them and whatnot need some guns to wave around, but all the 420 noscope l33t w33d Call of Duty KoS kids shouldn't find a deadly weapon around every corner. Lastly we desperately need basebuilding in this game. I just want to build a nice shack somewhere off on the edge of the map in the woods, some place i can hide my farming equipment and different roleplaying outfits. Please make it happen Bohemia Blue Hole. Thank you.

    Players, Today on the dev blog we look at what we have updated in this week’s upcoming patch. Before we get to that I want to again talk about server performance! We are now in the process of profiling our servers to find the choke points and track down what we need to improve in order to optimize them over the coming month. This takes time, but we will push updates to the servers once we have fixes for issues we find.We will do our first leaderboard and stats wipe tomorrow (Wednesday May 31st) at 5PM KST/1AM PDT/8AM UTC. This will reset all player ranking and stats data. Your previous stats are saved and will be viewable in-game. The leaderboard tracking will remain offline for 24 hours and will return on June 1st at 4PM KST/12AM PDT/7AM UTC. All data for matches played during this time will NOT be saved. Now onto what we have changed and fixed in our weekly update. Please remember that our weekly updates are for pushing bug fixes and small performance updates, and should not be compared to our monthly patches.We will first roll this patch out to the test server tomorrow, Wednesday.     In another thread i tried to help a beginner on how he can win a game. I copied this part over into this single thread so others can profit from it. When i look back at the games i / we won it's always because of two key points: Good moving paths Not greedy If i / we lose it's always because of one of these three reasons: Bad planning ahead Too greedy No luck at looting Most of the time it really helps to always plan your way on the map: Know the path you want to go (enough cover?) Know how fast you have to move to follow this path (blue circle!) Know how fast you can move (vehicle available?) Always keep in mind that you can die very fast, so don't be greedy: Shooting always means a hell lot of players around you know where you are, so are you gonna nail that kill? If not, don't shoot. How are your chances to win a firefight? Bad? Just fall back! Leave your enemies alone, especially if they already shot at you (see the point above). Most of the time: DO NOT PUSH except you are 100% sure your enemy is looting etc. Most of the time pushing means that you leave your cover and therefore has a very high risk! Are there two other teams in a firefight? Don't engage! Just wait until one team is eliminated, then engage. Are there players coming from outside of the white circle? Just wait in cover, they need to come to you. You have good weapons and good equipment? Don't go to houses looting, because why? It's just a risk. There are open doors on houses you planend on looting? Forget it, there is probably no good loot left anyway. You are on an open field in the end game? Just lay on the ground and let the others kill each other. Only shoot players that are directly besides you or walking towards you. I think the path taken and not being greedy is the key to winning a chicken dinner. Please feel free to discuss or to add points you think are more or equally important.     So I've been playing the test server for a few hours now, have cycled through all the 4 current weather effects in the game now. Have to say to the sunset is currently the best of them all, the way the shadows have changed with the ground, the surrounding buildings and inside them as well, completely different feel to the game and I love it. Plus it's just damn beautiful to look at My hat tips to you PU and Bluehole, you guys have outdone yourself on this in my opinion. Of course I will also say that the rest of this update is fantastic as well, can't wait for it to role out officially on Thursday! Anyone else have the pleasure of playing during the sunset yet? Thoughts?

Yes, but only for purely cosmetic items and only after Early Access. Can we add beards to our character? There are not currently any facial hair customization options, but they may be implemented in the future. Are cosmetic items functional? Currently the only functional items are footwear which have different levels of loudness. Running speed remains unaffected. Does the Ballistics Mask provide damage resilience? Ballistics mask is just cosmetic. Physics Do smoke grenades factor in wind direction? No, there is no wind simulation and their direction is random. What ballistic physics are there in game? We have muzzle velocities of rounds based on their real life components and gravity which affects trajectory. We also have plans to add air drag. Is there bullet penetration? There is currently no bullet penetration in-game but it is something we’re potentially adding in the future. Inventory Will I be able to carry multiple helmets and armour? No. Animation Will there be a vaulting system to help better navigate obstacles like fences and small walls? We will be implementing a vaulting mechanic to help climb over objects. You can see a WIP prototype we have teased here Will you be adding takedowns/executions? We’re adding takedowns in the future for sneaky executions, at a later stage during Early Access. We’ve already recorded some mocap animations for these takedowns in Prague. Here you can see some of the many exciting takedown mocap animations we captured. Takedowns can occur whilst standing or crouching. Will you be adding emotes? Yes, we have various emotes planned to cater for everyone, so watch this space! Why can't we punch a prone player? This isn’t intended. We’re planning on fixing this in the future. We’ll be adding the ability to kick opponents who are prone on the ground, rather than punch them. Will there be animations for entering/exiting vehicles? Yes. Spectating Will there be a replay system added to the game? Two different replay systems are going to be implemented in the future. A 3D replay system where you can re-watch matches in their entirety from any perspective in the world including watching from the perspective of any player. A 2D, top-down replay system will also be added to the game where the movement from the duration of the game for every player is plotted on the map, as well as kills and other events. We think this will help the game in the long-term where it'll provide content creators and players with ways to create interesting cinematic videos. Is there a killcam system? There will most likely be a killcam added to the solo game mode ONLY. Whether this be a camera which follows your enemy for a few seconds, replays your death or pans to the location of the enemy who killed you is not yet decided. There are no plans to add a killcam to any team modes. What’s an Observer Tool? Our observer tool is available in spectator mode for custom games. We'll also have a record feature so you can analyze your moves, and look at your teammates' movements. Vehicles What vehicles are there in the game? Currently there are 6 vehicles in the game: UAZ (soft-top, hard-top and no roof variants) Dacia Dunebuggy Motorbike Motorbike with sidecar Boat Can we lock vehicles? There are no plans to implement locks on vehicles. Are there plans to add helicopters? No. Map & Environment Is there a lore to the map? The map is named Erangel and is a fictional island based in the black sea. Erangel was originally occupied by Soviet forces from the 1950’s onwards and was used as a military testing facility, which explains the military base as well as the hospital and storage facilities. A local resistance movement fought to reclaim the island which eventually lead to the island becoming abandoned.The electrical field that you see wreaking havoc on the island is powered by electrical emitters which were used to contain towns that were showing signs of revolting against the Soviet forces. How many maps are there in the game? One 8x8 kilometer island map named Erangel. Are you adding more maps? Yes. There are two maps currently in development. One is an 8x8 kilometer map (same size as the original island map, Erangel) located on an island in the Adriatic Sea. Part of the map is enveloped in dense forest, another aspect of the map is its Mediterranean coastline and snowy mountains in the central area of the map. The second map is of a smaller scale, 4x4 kilometers in size and based in a desert city. There will be slums and a canyon with a river running through it, as well as villages throughout the island. Is there environmental destruction? We do have plans to make environments more destructible, but game and server optimization has to come first. Currently you can destroy windows, doors and fences. What weather can we expect ingame? There are currently two different weather conditions you’ll experience in your matches. Most matches are in a sunny, early-afternoon setting. There is a 10% chance for weather conditions of your match to be rainy and gloomy. During each match weather conditions will not change, there is no day-night cycle and no whether effects which change over the course of the match. We have teased a fog effect which we are planning to implement in the future. Will there be snow maps? Ideally, yes, but likelihood is uncertain. Will you be adding night maps? Probably not. Sound It is difficult to determine where I am being shot from, can you explain how positional audio works? We have provided an explanation of how gun shot sounds work here. Do you use 7.1 sound? No. The game uses stereo sound. Lobby sounds are too loud. Any plans to change them? We are currently planning on making the direct spawn area in the lobby completely quiet. Players wishing to leave this area can do so easily. Will you add bullet impact sounds for when you shoot an enemy player? We are thinking about distinct impact sounds when shots connect – maybe just for headshots. Graphical options & Settings Will you incorporate a FOV slider? We are happy with the 3rd person FOV at the moment but there are plans to implement a FOV slider for 1st person view. We want to keep it competitive so giving people too much control over certain things can be unfair to others. Is there an FPS limit? The in-game FPS is currently limited to 144. This will be removed in the future. TrackIR/Tobii Support? Currently we have no plans to support head and eye motion tracking, however this may change in the future. Will you have support for colorblind players? Yes. Controls Will I be able to rebind actions to any key? We plan to add much more customization options for keybindings in the future. Can we rebind in-game actions to the scroll wheel? Currently you cannot rebind in-game actions to the scroll wheel. Will we be able to change holding breath bind key? Yes. User Interface Will you be adding a chat box? No. Server Information What servers do you use? We’re using AWS (Amazon Web Services). What tickrate do the game servers run at? Our servers are running at 30 right now but we're aiming to improve that very soon. What regional servers are available currently? North America, South America, Asia (Korea), Europe and Oceania. Will there be servers in SEA/South Africa/etc? We are constantly evaluating the need for local servers in other areas we’ve not yet expanded to. We will implement servers in any region which has a high demand via number of players concurrently playing the game. Will there be servers available to rent in my local region and/or will server files be released so I can host my own server? We are currently exploring our options in regards to third-party servers. Anticheat What Anti-cheat system does the game use? BattlEye Are there any rules of conduct? You can read the full rules of conduct here. Please keep in mind that we are in the process of overhauling the rules of conduct and that they may change in the near future to better serve our community. I suspect a player is cheating/playing unfairly what should I do? We believe in fair play for everyone and understand how frustrating it can be when you encounter cheaters. Please be assured that together with BattlEye, we are actively enforcing our rules of conduct and taking the necessary actions to fight against those who ruin your gaming experience. This also applies to players who purposely kill their teammates, as well as players who are teaming. If you believe you encountered a cheater in-game we will review all reports on a case by case basis and take the appropriate steps in order to punish the players involved. I believe I have been unfairly banned, who do I contact? If you want to appeal your in game ban then you need to contact @PUBG_FWG via PM on the PUBG Official Forums. Will you share the outcome on players who have been reported? Reports are investigated thoroughly which means it could take a few working days before the investigation reaches an outcome. Our policy is NOT to communicate the conclusion of any investigations in relation to cheats. I reported a cheater yesterday and I just encountered the same player a few days later. Any report will be investigated thoroughly which mean it could take a few working days before the investigation comes to a conclusion and sanctions are issued. BattlEye bans are distributed in waves which we believe is the most efficient way of dealing punishment to those who cheat. Why do you remove topics discussing cheats on the forums? Discussing cheats is prohibited and will be removed from our public facing community forums. This is done not to try to hide it from players, rather to ensure that those that cheat do not get any free advertising. Are macros permitted? No. As per our rules of conduct macros are not allowed. Modding Will you add mod support? Yes, but only once we’ve left early access. Other Why do you test major monthly content on the Test Servers for only One Day? We have test servers to better manage our updates and ensure stability before we push the update to the Live Servers. We spend a week testing it internally before it is released to the public. This is in-line with our overall development schedule and ethos. Bluehole have an excellent QA team and most updates get pushed on time. Unfortunately, they can't test for every possible player configuration which is why sometimes issues occur. We understand the frustration some of you have with the game and ask for your patience. Will you be releasing on Linux or MAC? There are no plans for Linux or Mac support at this time. Will you re-release the pre-order only deluxe edition of the game which included exclusive PLAYERUNKNOWN skins? No. Will there be Steam Achievements in the future? Yes. How can I change my ingame name? Currently there is no way to change your in-game name but we are working on a solution. Where can I submit bugs? We are still in the process of establishing a public bug tracker. In the meanwhile bugs are to be submitted on our forums Is it okay to edit configuration files? We don't recommend users to alter their default game configuration .ini files or launch options. If advanced users wish to do so, we cannot guarantee the game will work as intended and are unable to provide support related to any changes to these files. How can I get a refund?     So to preface this piece, please know I am about 19 beers into it. Take what you will of it, I am heartfelt and sincere. So a guy years ago, like actual years ago made a Mod for Arma 3 for a Battle Royale game mode. It had a LOT of attention. It was even popular enough to warrant SOE to create a Battle Royale gamemode called H1Z1 to be later called King of the Kill. This KOTK become one of the most played games on steam until Player Unknown Battle Grounds emerged. 2.8 million copies later; This guy turned his hobby mod into an actual video game thanks to the help of BlueZone in the not bad Korea. I come on this forum after playing this game and I give individuals actual help. Fixed maybe 22 people's lag so far and have truly tried to remove the toxic from those who are enraged at just being bad at the game. And in every new thread I see, someone is complaining. As a person who has learned four programming languages, has become a guru at Unreal 4's BP system, created three games in Unity 5 and worked in the Very Difficult Cryengine; I Tip my hat to Player Unknown. I pray he doesn't fall to the hatred that I've seen here because the joy that he has brought me and forty other discords far outweighs Every single negative post I've seen to date. With all that emotional drunken sincere shit said. If you have an issue with the game, if technical, I will help you personally as I have helped many others personally. If you have an issue with the gameplay, there are other games to play. I ask that during the Early Access / Beta testing portion before launch of this game, that we have constructive and helpful conversations. Anything less truly hurts only us that's paid for the game.

    Whoa, calm down! What happened here? I have my own opinion so calm your titties, no need for stupid examples related to cars and chess. You CONSCIOUSLY bought an early access game, you agreed to terms and conditions, now you complain. Just don't play the game, uninstall it and that's it. The game is what it is, the guys are working on it, they are doing great job - this is one of the most interesting games I've played, EVER. It has complicated mechanics and it is hard to work on it. Yes, it HAS glitches but telling me that gunshots never damage players, COME ON! This exaggerating...

    I don't think using a strat that can help a player win the match should be penalized. Regardless of it's camping, driving, jumping, etc... It's Battle Royale, winner goes to the last person/team standing. Whatever they do to get there is allowed, adapt and overcome.

    I usually only use bushes in the later stages of the game when the circle is shrinking and cover is scarce. As far as camping I personally don't consider anything camping in this game. The object is to be the last one standing. If that means you have to find a safe spot to hide so be it. There are no respawns. So why run around the map putting yourself at risk to appease people who don't like campers?

    Why i don't pick up smoke grenades: 1. They're client side, whichever direction the smoke is blowing on your screen, it might be something completely different on your opponents screen. 2. They're too easy to see through. Hell, sometimes the smoke might not even render in for your opponent. 3. Grenades in general are too heavy to carry around, specially considering how inconsistent they are. Same goes for the stun grenade. Too inconsistent. More often than not, i won't get "stunned" by it, even though i'm looking right at it on purpose.

Step 1: Click on "Contact Support" Step 2: Select PUBG as the game...Find the issue that is most fitting, in this case it is "Game Support" Step 3: Complete the Issue Details drop down, you will want to fill in "I need to report another player." Next, add the Issue Details... I would say "hacking" or "teaming" and click Submit a Ticket Step 4: Fill out the Description, Characters, Your Character Name and Date/Time. ***Please attach any media to prove your case, it will make the review process easier***....     This is the sample of what you must deal with every single corner or object. Someone being able to maneuver their camera to spot you. Even tho I won the fight being positioned and not moving, with the amount of lagg or desync some people do get away by peaking and pre firing or not even looking down their sights but to hip fire or hold 3rdperson shoot after peaking, or they will bypass the corner part and try to bypass and shoot after. The information was his to process and he chose to go head up. this is why I am strongly going to play First Person because you cannot get that kind of intel until you fully poke and and spot me. you can hear me but never ever will you spot me behind cover like this guy did.

    pretty sure playerunknown has said its a coding issue not physical server issue hence they are reworking the code atm. but as far as public servers go i think they can ruin some games EG: Ark , some private servers with peoples own rules are just plain stupidtake the game away from the original idea of what i "should" be like. i personally prefer to keep the rules and regulations of the devs. but thats just my thoughts on it

    It's like releasing a driving game where sometimes your car doesn't turn or start. Or playing "Early Access" Chess where sometimes your Queen doesn't move or your King randomly dies and you lose the match. Dirt Rally came out in early access (at a reduced price) and the driving needed some tweaking (that was addressed in the first 2 months) plus it was missing cars (released after the mechanics were stable), wasn't optimized, was missing some graphical tweaks and some tracks but you could drive all day long without having your gear get stuck in second or your handbrake not working! Early Access (IMHO): Base game is solid (basic mechanics work) but there are still glitches, missing content, optimization issues. Early access should come after ALPHA and BETA testing! Alpha testing (IMHO): Base game is still being worked on, missing textures, missing objects, netcode still being tested, random crashes, missing big parts of the final game (like vehicles) Beta testing (IMHO): Base game is finished but still not solid, crashes, desync, netcode issues, server issues. Tell me if I'm wrong and Early Access now means "You should be thankful you paid money for a semi-playable Beta". Because this is what this is: a semi-playable (with the help of the god of servers and some luck not getting stuck, flipping your car, being one shotted by a wallhacker) at best game. Out of 10 games: 5 deaths caused by broken mechanics (being killed behind a wall, three shotgun slugs do nothing and I get oneshotted by a pistol, car gets stuck on a low fence at 150km/h and I take half damage), 3 by someone who shoots me from the blue area or catches me from behind (I don't have the best luck in this game), 2 by actual better players/my mistakes. It should be maybe 50/50 between unlucky and better players...

    When I see people coming in here and say they played a lot, but have never encountered a cheater, I get very suspicious. While I agree that PUBG does an admiral job, much better than most games, the game is hardly cheater free. That leads me to believe you are most likely one of them. It is literally impossible that you have played that much and have not run into a cheater. There are a few other possible explanations, but I imagine you won't like those reasons either. PUBG is a great game, worthy of the praise it receives. But you aren't doing anyone any favors by coming in here with your tall tales of a cheat free game.

    I don't want to offend you, but the EA for PUBG began March 23rd. That's 11 weeks and 2 days ago. At 24 hours in a day, that's somewhere close to a possible ~1896 hours. For you to have 1442 hours of playing (and not just leaving it up "accidentally" in the background overnight) you'd have to have played it non-stop and be sleeping just shy of 6 hours a night. I suppose you could sleep less than that if you wanted things like food breaks, using the restroom, personal hygiene, doing anything social, etc. Forgive me for finding that a little hard to believe. Furthermore, the number of hours a program is open on your computer doesn't translate into having an expert or a necessarily valid opinion on the topic. I've spent a lot of time running in my life, but I wouldn't assume that makes me an expert on different types of running shoes.

    I didnt misunderstand anything - nor do I want to argue. I'm just tired of people constantly COMPLAINING about this game. It happens in one thread after another - most of it in a very little constructive way. I'm pro constructive feedback. 100%. That said I actually didn't adress anything to you personally - so you don't need to do this the other way around. Just focus on your mission with reporting in constructive feedback please. I will do the same - and I will also frequently fight all the non-construtive spam-complainers.

    I do not like this idea. While luck is certainly a factor in what you find, you still have a brain and fists. You can use your brain to avoid putting yourself in the line of fire. Use buildings as cover, play cat and mouse. Try to not become a target by thinking about what your options are instead of he found a gun why can't I have gun to start. Or, you could rush him when he's not looking (looting) and use your fists to knock him out. I've done it a few times, but also been shot doing it. The luck and randomness of what you find is what I like. You get put into different situations. Sometimes the lucks on your side, sometimes you're unlucky. And each time I have to think about what is best for my survival. Charge em? Or hold tight and play cat and mouse?
