    Hello Xbox players, Both Microsoft and PUBG Corp remain committed to delivering the best PUBG console experience possible. Over the next few months of development we trust that you will see meaningful improvements to optimizations, new content additions, compelling reasons to play, and refinements to the overall console experience. These improvements and areas of focus comprise our Spring Xbox PUBG Roadmap. To service our Roadmap, we will be transitioning to a longer 2-3 week cycle in-between patches, with our goal to ensure we are consistently releasing well tested improvements to the current Live version of the game. Spring Xbox Roadmap: Continued performance optimizations: To put it bluntly, we are simply not satisfied with the games current console performance, and especially so during tense moments of onscreen action. We have found some immediate opportunity to increase framerate through changes to Erangel’s building materials, as well as some reduction to in-game foliage composition. Until we are completely satisfied in the quality and reliability of the experience, efforts to optimize performance will be an ongoing hi-priority issue. Here are some of the specific technical areas we have made changes: Optimized game characters and their movements Optimized the number of particle effects that are spawned by vehicles and grenades Optimized object collision complexity Balanced the game work across all CPU cores to reduce streaming hitches when moving UI optimizations: Our goal is that PUBG stands up well when compared to other games in your collection, and this comparison begins the second you boot up the game. HDR and Safe Zone options, the quality of the individual assets, the speed at which they load and how they react to your selection are all things we will improve upon as we move towards creating a premium and higher quality experience. Improve Inventory UX: We receive a ton of feedback around the usability of the title, particularly when it comes to navigating the inventory UI. PUBG is a complicated game to control, and when you factor the risk versus reward of inventory management in high pressure situations, the interface must be intuitive and responsive. We are working towards that goal, and we have some changes coming that we hope will allow players to action the decisions they want to make, faster. Improvements to Console Controller Options: We will be providing additional preset configurations to choose from as well as exposing a wider set of aiming options, providing players more freedom to create a controller experience that feels satisfying and empowering. Improvements to game matchmaking: To support a fair and competitive environment, we plan to further improve matchmaking for Duo and Squad modes. Console Player Reporting Features: We are hoping to streamline reporting by adding in-game tools that will empower players to more quickly submit instances of unsporting behavior (Solo Teaming, Team Killing etc). Updates to Vehicle Penetration: To promote a greater sense of realism, we will be applying bullet penetration to our vehicle system. Our current model can be viewed as a vehicles body having a life bar that must be reduced before the driver can be damaged. When our update is released, players that are skillful with their shots, can pierce vehicle doors and panels, damaging enemy players and ensuring that threat is constant even for those behind the wheel. Game Highlights: We want players to easily capture and share in-game actions of interest, so we have integrated Game Highlights functionality on Xbox. Achievements: We have some great ideas for those players that like an added challenge, and we will be rolling out our achievement criteria as part of our roadmap. Sound: We’re going to continue improvements to audio quality and directional sound. Customization: We will add in-game Player Customization Options, emotes and more. We want to offer a wide range of options for you to customize your character in style. Test server: In advance of major upcoming patch releases, we will be making available to players a separate PUBG Xbox Download client. The team has been working diligently to elevate the overall player experience, as well as listen and react to our community feedback. Below you will find quality of life fixes, as well as our efforts to resolve known memory crashes, and incremental improvements to performance. Given the complexity of some of the crashes that have been logged, we know there is still work remaining in order for us to reproduce and address all remaining issues. Crash fixes, like all areas of the game, will be something we continue to improve upon as part of our Xbox Game Preview roadmap. Gameplay Aim acceleration can now be adjusted by players via in-game option Player weapon damage has been increased against vehicles. We will continue to monitor player feedback and telemetry and make further balancing adjustments as needed in future updates FPP Solo matchmaking queue will be made available for NA/EU/and Oceanic servers.     Happy New Year’s Xbox players, Quick update: We’ve finalized our list of fixes for our first “Client Side” patch of 2018. This next patch is focused on addressing known crashes as well as providing some quality of life improvements and gameplay adjustments.     Xbox players, Quick update; we are pushing a fix for an in-game issue that was undermining the core experience for some players. As part of that update, we have decided to include some additional performance and gameplay improvements, as well as a new controller option. We want to thank our community for the continued feedback and look forward to the discussion that the changes below bring. Gameplay Pistols have been removed from Y button's weapon rotation and grouped with the melee weapon. Players can now equip pistols by pressing 'up' on the D pad. Optimization Continued improvements related to player “rubber banding”. Enhanced server performance while parachuting. Option Added a new controller preset to options menu. Type B (new preset) now supports: Holding LT to aim down sight. Holding LB to use 3rd person perspective aim sight. Controller guide has been updated to include the new controller preset. Bug fixes Fixed an issue where players repositioned out of the battleground after certain actions and remained invulnerable until the end of the match. Additional memory and non-memory related crash fixes. Fixed the inability to join duo/squad through invites outside of game. Known issues to be addressed next patch: Dropping objects causes the player to switch weapons. User is unable to switch grenade types when tapping right on the D-Pad. We have a few minor updates to gameplay this week, alongside bug-fixes and performance tweaks, as noted below. Gameplay We’ve listened to your feedback and further modified the damage players can inflict on vehicles, increasing areas of vulnerability. TBA Under Investigation / Fix In Progress These are issues that are under investigation or in the process of being resolved. When playing the game for the first and a controller disconnected message is displayed before creating a new character, the message does not go away even after pressing A The character becomes stuck inside an object when object loading is delayed When using freelook whilst moving and reloading, the character will automatically face the direction of the freelook camera when the reloading is finished Need To Be Reported These are not wide-spread issues and require more player reports to be resolved individually. If you are experiencing one of these issues, please contact [customer support] Scrolling through items in the inventory stops working Please contact our customer support with the clip showing details of the issue Player’s gamertag is displayed as numbers in-game Please contact our customer support along with the screenshot of the issue Intermittent crash occurs when connecting to the dashboard Please contact our customer support and include the details of how it occurred Resolved Issues These are issues which were patched on the live servers among the “Scheduled To Be Fixed” category.     Aim assist has no place in a battle royale game end of story. It is ment to be hard, aim assist will take away that sense of achievement, please stop asking for it. It will destroy this game and I will never play this game again, I am guessing alot of people feel the same as me.

Server Performance Resolved an issue with server performance dropping drastically in certain circumstances. Client Performance Improved rendering performance of other characters. Improved client performance during ranged combat. Improved rendering performance of vehicles, motorbikes, and boats at a distance. Improved the rendering performance of weapon effects at a distance. Bug Fix Fixed a client crash that occurred when changing character appearance. Prevented users from removing shadows by changing Steam launch options. Fixed a bug that caused players to fire more ammo than the amount loaded. Fixed a bug that caused lung icon to be displayed as full while taking damage due to lack of oxygen underwater. Fixed an issue with indoor walls and objects overlapping each other. Fixed a bug that caused the wooden doors inside houses to have a metallic gloss. Fixed a bug that caused some parts of the clothing to be shown when firing a weapon while aiming down sights, using 4x or higher scopes. Fixed a bug that caused players to enter the DBNO state after drowning. You will now die immediately after taking fatal damage from lack of oxygen.     Players, This week we roll out our first monthly patch. This patch will the first of many to address performance, fix bugs and add new content to the game. I must stress that we will not be able to fix all performance issues with a single patch. For this patch, we focused on stabilizing performance for all users, trying to ensure there would be less FPS drops, and improve performance for those with lower spec systems. Optimizing the game will take us time, and will continue all through early access, so please have patience while we work to improve the game experience for all players. We are opening a Test Server to better manage our updates and ensure stability before we push updates to the Live Servers. We will push each new update to this server on the Wednesday of the week, to allow a full days testing before updating the live servers. We will have the exact time you should expect this server to be online tomorrow, so stay tuned to our Twitter! We are aware that some of you are experiencing what appear to be memory leaks, and we will work on fixing this going forward, but over the last month, we have been concentrating on improving the performance for min spec systems, and stabilizing FPS for everyone no matter what their PC specs. We are still a relativity small team, so we must focus on one problem at a time right now. We are working to expand the team, but finding the right people with suitable experience and capabilities takes time, so please bear with us. Next I need to address a slight price change for the game in New Zealand. We’ve been seeing some abnormal patterns in our New Zealand sales. It turns out that due to the comparatively low price in New Zealand (roughly US$25) and the fact that gifting from New Zealand to other countries is not restricted the same as it is for other countries like China, Russia and Brazil, people seem to be exploiting the system. We have slightly raised the price to US$28 to combat this. I also want to address server lag once again. The lag you experience on the servers is not due to the hardware or size of the server, nor does it have to do with the number of players online. It is due to a networking issue with the core engine code, and it is something we are working hard to resolve, but it is not a simple issue to fix, so it will take us some time. Please bear with us and we will get it fixed as soon as we can. Finally, before we get to the patch-notes for this month’s update, I want to once again thank everyone for their support over the past month. We broke 100,000 concurrent users on Monday which is a huge milestone for any game and we wouldn’t have done this without the tremendous support of every player, so from all team here, a sincere thank you.This patch will be deployed for both clients and servers Thursday, April 20, 5PM KST/1AM PDT/8AM UTC and is expected to take approx. 1 hour to complete.Early Access - Month 1 - Patch Notes Known issues The motorbike leans slightly to the right when being driven straight.     Here's a list of some controls you might not know about. Keep in mind everything is DEFAULT binds so if you rebound your keys, it may be different for you. When rebinding keys, make sure all slots have been bound to a key in order to be able to APPLY settings. Hold right click and E or Q - changes the camera view for Right Click ADS Hold left click after shooting - Gun will stay scoped in so you can watch where your bullet lands X - Puts away all equipped items Hold SHIFT - Hold breath when scoped, will also zoom in slightly if you are not scoped CTRL + Right click or drag - Split items = is Autorun Right-click tap brings out Iron sights/ADS Holding right click will zoom in aim Looking down with your mouse while swimming will take you deeper. You can also use crouch (C) to dive and jump (Space) to rise in water. Looking straight down with your mouse and pressing W while parachuting will help you get to max speed. This way your parachute will deploy lower and you will lose less speed when it is deployed. 7,8,9,0 are the default keybindings for medical and boost items. You can switch between different types of grenades by pressing 5 multiple times CTRL + T - Voice chat mute/unmute CTRL + U - Toggle UI CTRL + M - Master volume mute/unmute CTRL + Y - Switch voice channel Ctrl + 1,2,3,4 = Move vehicle seating positions.     I've got a dirty little secret that I've got to get off my chest. In about 75% of my solo games, I drop at the very same group of houses... clear them all and tidy them up, closing all doors and not picking up ammo stacks from the random pistols that might be laying about. I usually end up with a pretty nice loadout. Pretty much always an AR (or two) or a sniper. Always a shotty or two to be had. I then go to the top of the stairs in a particular house in this complex and drop the AR, a scope (if I have one), a boost, a first aid kit, my shirt, and three stacks of one bullet of ammo to correspond with the gun I've left. Spread it all out nicely so it looks like spawn items. *But it's not. It's never a spawn. Stuff never shows up in this spot right at the top of the stairs.* And then I wait. And wait. And nearly every time, someone shows up and starts looting this group of houses. They run up my stairs and the first thing they see is this pile of loot. They always seem to open their menu to see the cornucopia of stuff that I've left there. I watch this all go down in plain sight from a corner in the kitchen. I'm never really hidden. I'll wait for about two full seconds, giddy with anticipation as I imagine their developing thoughts as they see the stacks of one bullet, before I unload three or four shotgun blasts into their unsuspecting torso. I usually add one more to their corpse after they've been disposed of. And then... I tea-bag the body for a good 20 seconds. And I laugh. Oh, I laugh. It's a dark, dirty experience. I then record a clip of the whole ordeal and send it to my victim. Sometimes I add splash screens to the video at the end that say "LOLOLOLOL" or "Ooops! SORRY" for effect. Occasionally I loop the 1-2 seconds of actual gunfire over and over and over at the end of the clip, extending the moment in video form. I enjoy it more than a chicken dinner. If I've done this to you, thank you for your participation in my game. It's nothing personal. And I'm sorry... just a little bit. See you on the island.

Can Bluehole please have a little bit of faith in their core concept of high-RNG, high-atmosphere, high-immersion battle royale that has made their game such a global hit in the first place, and stick to their guns in terms of game design, instead of caving in to every whiner on here who wants to dumb down their fantastic game into "CoD with a bit of Arma". For you to run the game, you must uninstall ReShade. If the game files are already damaged, you must also reinstall the game. Most of the time devs dont have South African servers because the community is not large enough but no one buys it because we rarely get servers hosted. We have plenty of good game hosts and hosting companies commited to their community, Please consider adding at least a few servers, even as a trial for the Africa region, it will be much appreciated.     We, brazilian gamers (and South America likewise) hope to see the add of South America servers for Pubg on Xbox One eventually. Not only it would drasticly improve the experience for us, but for North American players too, since we wouldn't be lagging around their servers anymore. We understand the current stage of the game, fixing bugs, changing gameplay and graphics aspects as well. However, after the Oceania dedicated servers add news we hope to see Bluehole to help out our south american countries when they can, please.

    Here's a few secrets they didn't want us to know Holding A allows you to automatically switch to drivers seat Holding RT while shooting a bolt action rifle will allow you to see where the shot lands instead of instantly bolting the rifle if you want to actively switch scopes or Supressors/compensators, the weapon in your hand is the one the scope will default to IF you highlight the attachment and double tap A. Holding RB And up/down while ADS allows you to change brightness/zoom your scope Clicking LB while holding a grenade will start a cooking timer. You only have 5 seconds so throw it quickly lol. these are things I had to learn on my own that I'd thought I'd share in case you guys haven't figured them out yet.

    Players, Today, I finally get to talk to you about our vision and roadmap for 2018. We have come a long way over the past 2 years and have learned so much. We’ve done a lot of planning over the last two months, and today we reveal how we want PUBG to evolve in 2018. We’ve worked hard over the past 2 years to build a good foundation for the most realistic Battle Royale experience out there. This year we plan to build on that foundation and really start to polish our features, squash the remaining bugs and expand the game even further. When we came out of Steam Early Access, we told you that it was just the beginning of our journey. This year we’re committing to a major content delivery cycle every two months, the first of which is planned for this month. Each of these major updates will bring changes to specific systems and/or introduce new content. Smaller updates between the major ones will also continue throughout the year. This year we want to involve our players in the ongoing development of PUBG even more than before, and to aid with this we plan to open an Experimental Test Server so we can get your valuable feedback on our feature/content development cycle sooner and for you to have a real impact on how our game changes and develops going forward. It is also our aim to continually upgrade the game’s aesthetic side, and today we want to share some before/after images showing work the art team has been doing to improve the way houses are rendered in the game. Now onto the Roadmap proper. Please keep in mind that everything below is subject to change, and is still very much a work in progress. With that in mind, let’s get into the specifics! New Content and Gameplay Next month we will be deploying a new, 4x4km island map on our Experimental Test Server for you to try out. It’s a much smaller map and should give you all a much more intense and faster paced Battle Royale experience. It will offer a higher player density and shorter matches and we want to get it into your hands early this time around so we can use your input to make it a great experience for everyone. We’re also ready to begin testing our Emote System. You will be able to check it out on our Test Servers very soon. We’re looking forward to receiving your feedback on this new system and we will continue to expand on the range of emotes available throughout the year. For now, here is a brief preview of some of the work we have been doing on this system. I’ve been working with our amazing game design team to plan some new and interesting Game Modes for PUBG. We’re still early days when it comes to hammering out all the kinks and details, so I’m unfortunately not yet at a place where I can share specifics. We plan to add new vehicles in the first half of the year and want to continue expanding our weapon set and also add new weapon attachments this year. Here is a peek at one of the new weapons coming soon. Another new map that we’re working on is planned to be 8x8km in size. As with the smaller map coming to the Experimental Test Servers, we want to get this into your hands early in its development, so you can help us make the gameplay great on this new map. We’re ready to begin testing Achievements, in-game friends list and squad voice chat in the main menu! We also want to further allow you to customize your character, and both parachute and weapon skins will be added in the future to help with this. We will also be testing limb and vehicle bullet penetration on the test servers later. This will add new depth to our ballistic system, and increase the realism of gameplay. We, of course, will listen closely to your feedback on these new systems, and if you have concerns, please head over to our forums and leave your feedback there. In 2018, we will be looking at overhauling our entire TPP and FPP animation systems to make them smoother and more reactive to the environment. This will include animations for getting inside vehicles and changing seats while in the vehicle. We also want to improve how the character moves to allow our 3D replay to deliver some truly great content. Also on our roadmap is an overhaul for the parachuting system, to make it more responsive and polish the overall look of the animations. We are also working to improve our armed and unarmed melee combat systems. Stability, Optimization, Security We have not forgotten about our core responsibility to our players - to provide a stable, smooth and secure environment for enjoying a great Battle Royale experience. We are continuing our daily work to combat cheaters, improve server stability and further optimize our servers and clients. It is impossible to solve these problems once and for all, but our goal is to continuously improve in this regard. Due to the sensitive nature of this subject and to maximize the impact we can have, I won’t be able to go into specific plans. However, we’re planning to keep you more up-to-date about our efforts as we have major victories to share. Sound In the first half of 2018, we intend to increase the detail of vehicle sounds, which means introducing suspension sounds and more skidding sounds. We also want to work with surfaces that would reflect different weather conditions and add rain sounds to vehicle surfaces. Also in the first half of the year, we’re looking at making the gun sounds more distinctly different depending on POV. In the second half of the year, we plan to change the sound that the player produces while moving so that it corresponds to the equipment they are carrying. We also plan to introduce different breathing sounds when the player is, for example, running, aiming down sight or holding breath. Esports Seriously, we are not there yet, but we will be. Thanks to the amazing feedback coming from the player community and professional scene we believe we’re moving in the right direction. We truly want to build a great foundation for Battle Royale esports, and while we have seen some great events already using our game, we have much work to do, especially with the observing side of things. We believe our 3D replay system is the key to allowing orgs to provide much better coverage of a match. This year we want to further improve the live spectator tool, but also integrate a replay system for spectators to use during live matches. Our data analytics team has been pouring over ranking and player performance data for the past 3 months, and they are now working on improving MMR and the overall ranking system. We have great teams working on these systems, and along with our new Play Data API toolset, we think 2018 will be a great year for us to further strengthen our esport foundation. Custom Games The Custom Game System will itself be further expanded to allow more fine grain control and quality of life features like saving presets. We’re also planning to distribute access to a wider audience of players so that there are more custom games available to join at any given time. We can’t thank you enough for your patience thus far and we will soon share more details with you regarding our successes and future challenges in this regard. Community Developer Support This year we will be introducing the PUBG Developer Portal. Our Developer Portal will introduce the PUBG Developer API, a development blog, and technical notes regarding game updates. The API Service will support developers in the community by providing player and match data around gameplay performance. It will also provide match-level, season-level, and lifetime-level data for developers to create compelling resources for players. Another interesting and useful application of our API will allow esports groups and other third parties to create custom games within PUBG. This will enable esports groups to effectively manage games while minimizing ongoing technical work on the part of PUBG Corp. So that’s it for the 2018 PUBG Roadmap.     Infelizmente já temos muito poucas pessoas no FPP, é preciso gostar muito para puxar solo no squad. Acredito que remover squad fpp da rotação será muito ruim para o competitivo do jogo progredir em nossa região, já que o competitivo internacional é completamente FPP, porém acho que o mais justo e o melhor para a rotação seria a fila solo, atrairia mais pessoas e talvez, eu disse talvez, teriamos uma rotação de partidas saudável, sem uma espear de 20 minutos pra achar game como está no squad Na real eu gostaria que houvessem recompensas para as seasons, essas deveriam ser dadas apenas na fila FPP, uma vez que outros jogos tem fila ranked, isso seria uma espécia de rankeada pois estariamos no modo do competitivo. Assim a fila TPP seria a fila casual.

    First let me say that I feel strongly enough about this to register a forum account. It will likely be my only post and I'll keep it short. 1) The circle's damage is WONDERFUL, perfect, don't change it. 2) it moves WAY too fast mid to late game. We should be able to outrun it. I would rather see the beginning circle move faster and the later ones move slower as it shrinks down. Right around the time that there are ~20 people in the game it should move at a jog (only outpaced by a sprint). when there are 10 people left it should move at a crouch walk's pace, jog should be able to outrun it. The game is called 'Battlegrounds' not 'Battlecircle'.... which is what this game feels like at this time. Thank you.

    You have an amazing game and the PC version is your template. I understand that the controller brought new challenges and this makes sense. However, you have shown that you are willing to modify your game based on the amount of noise on these forums and that scares me. I've heard cries for aim assist, vehicle nerfing (solo mode was only issue), less recoil, quicker games, easier crate loot, new guns ie. the bazooka, more vehicles, etc etc. All these serve to make the game easier. There are a myriad of games out there already that have respawns, shields etc for this crowd. I can't understand why they are on these forums. The reason you have sold 4 million copies thus far is because we want the same unique experience that the PC provides. I am a 44 yr old firefighter with 3 kids and am busy as hell. I don't have time to post 20 times a day trying to shout my opinions. I fear there are many like myself who want the core game to remain the same and want only a stable and smooth gaming experience. The nerfing of the vehicles has truly made the game play differently. Solo play is the only time I witnessed kids ripping around in cars in the final circles. If the focus was smooth frames then the car issue would disappear as shooting drivers would be easier. I think your promise to patch every week was noble but misguided. My son and I each have an Xbox one X and the last two patches have really affected our gameplay. I crash all the time where I didn't before and the rendering is much worse. I know little of game design and perhaps this is necessary in order to move forward (maybe someone can speak to this). I understand it's a preview and know that things like the vaulting glitch will happen with patches. That's no biggie. What bothers me is when one of the devs says in a patch post that "they are listening to fans and have made XYZ changes." Some requests are legit and that's great. Others are requests for fundamental changes that stray from the original concept. With 4 million copies sold please keep in mind that 20-30 people on here crying "make this easier, make that easier" is a very small sample size. This game is a beast because it's tense and difficult and different every game. I don't even care for shooters and this game makes me keep coming back for more. Thanks for making a unique game in a landscape saturated with AAA garbage titles that avoid risk and creativity like the plague. You've proven that big money can be made from being different and difficult. Kudos!
