    bad_module error, STILL!

    I thought I had seen the last of this error some time ago, sadly however it has returned. Played 3 games on Sanhok and got it twice and crashed the game. Once I was able to rejoin in a top 10 situation, the other was top 5 and did it just as I was firing at someone, so obviously I died. It's so frustrating that errors like this are still wide spread on a fully released game, the new patch has just come out of testing. It has almost become a thing that we expect because it's PUBG, no game should be that way, not one out of early access and full release. What kind of reputation is that for a game where people write basic stuff like that off "oh well that's PUBG for you". That wont wash when all these up and coming and E3 announced games are released. You think people will put up with that then just because, "oh well, that's PUBG". Love this game, but at the moment there isn't anything else like it, that will change very soon. Changes are needed if you want to retain your user base.

    Sorry for late reply. The settings I’ve used for a long time now are: AA: Ultra PP: Low Shadows: Very Low Textures: High Effects: Low Foliage: Low VD: High Then patch #14 came and I see the issues I talked about. I always used to play fullscreen (windowed) but also since this patch with windowed the micro stuttering is awful. So on a fullscreen is smooth but stuff the loot lag, desync, FPS drops are bad.
  4. I was excited when I read the dev letter that promised all sorts of great things and improvements were coming. When I read through the notes for patch #14 I couldn’t wait to play it. Ive never really suffered huge FPS drops or performance issues as some seem to, aside from the most recent Sanhok test session where FPS drops were terrible for everyone. My PC is very new and running top specs. Before this #14 patch I would consistently get 144 FPS in all games for the most part, dipping to 120 occasionally and in rare cases down to about 110 FPS. So when I updated today and tested the game, to say I was dissapointed was a massive understatement. FPS now often drops below 110 and sits lower overall compared to before patch #14 with the same graphics settings etc. The initial lag and slow rendering of weapons on landing is worse! I kid you not, loot still renders in as slow most of the time and picking up loot after drop is still sluggish and hit and miss, in fact more so than before once again. Another thing I hate is having to relearn all the weapons again, you keep “rebalancing” the weapons which means we have to get used to them all over again. You quote in notes: “As always, we’ll keep an eye on all of these balance changes and continuously make adjustments and improvements.” This isn’t a good thing, balance them and then stop messing with them PLEASE! Whatever you’ve done it’s made things worse for my more than capable system.   5. I wanted to see what all the hype was about, so I installed ROE and played it over a couple of days. First game on I just couldn’t understand what everyone was raving about. Immediately it felt jerky, movement is clunky and unrefined, FPS isn’t amazing, inventory system is clunky and buggy. Looting and other actions are delayed, not helped by the ping to the Asian servers of course. The bots are awful, such low AI. The graphics look ok, but not mind blowing. The peek system is terribly thought out, it screams mobile game, because that’s what it is. Overall I was left thinking to myself what the hell are people so hyped about. I’m no PUBG fanboy, I play lots of different games, like Fortnite, Battlefront 2, WW II, God of War etc, different titles and genres. Some people just like to jump on the bandwagon of their favourite streamers. I noticed a couple we’ll known streamers pushing this game and their little followers jumping on it. It’s rumoured that a couple of these streamers might be being paid to hype it up. But we’ll never know for sure. Shroud played it, he says the streamers hyping it up must be trolling 😂

    They don´t care about lag....

    There idea of combating the lag issues is "optimising", only there idea of optimising is nerfing stuff. Like render detail distance on parachuting, removing doors, walls & generally simplifying buildings etc all over the maps. At this rate before they overcome the lag and desync all that's left will be an open plain with no buildings or foliage.

    Here is another example of a "bugged/optimised" building. I hope this is actually a bug they will fix and not part of the "optimising". They already removed a ton of doors since the 3.0 patch or maybe the one before. Why can't the game be properly optimised instead of removing stuff???

    OK, a weird thing happened when I played today, the bugged buildings that the OP posted which looked the same for me are now fixed. I didn't see another download on Steam, so I assume no further patch has been released. How can the buildings now be fixed. Actually there are still some buildings which are different, but I wonder if some buildings had actually been changed across the map as an effort by BlueHole to "optimise" the game. By optimise I mean like they have previously shown, in optimising the game they often mean NERFING some features or compromising the look of the game. Here is what I mean, these buildings have less interior walls and doors than before 4.0.

    I was just about to upload the exact same images of these buildings. Never had these issues before until the patch 4.0 today. One of my favourite places to drop too. In a few games I played today I found all these and more bugged buildings. Some have walls missing, doors in the wrong place, stairs that go nowhere or blocked. Hope they fix this soon. I imagine if its like it in Los Leones it's probably happened elsewhere too.
  10. Following from my last post, I also can confirm desync is terrible at times. I’ve also been shot while fully behind cover after peeking or moving into cover. The problem is real and it’s pretty bad.
  11. Immediately after the patch the game felt so much better. The rubberbanding is gone, it still is, but Since the patch it seems lag at the beginning of game is getting worse. It’s difficult to pick up weapons and fight because of this until the first couple of minutes has passed where it seems to subside. It’s very frustrating. the rubberbanding is no more though for me at least, in UK playing on EU.
