  1. Lag/FPS drops

So whenever i get shot in fpp, my game just fps drops making FPP games for me unplayable. Weirdly enough, i dont experience this with TPP so its probablly not my pc and probablly because of the recent update, since thats when it started. thank you and i hope this issue is resolved asap cause i love fpp.
  2. FPS Drops & Low Frame Rate Issues

I have always had this problem in PUBG, everytime I zoom out of the 4x, and 8x scope my fps drops by 20fps or more and makes the game very laggy but sometimes it also freezes the game. Is there a possible fix for this. Here are my specs: CPU: i7-6700HQ GPU: GTX 960M 4GB RAM: 16GB of DDR4 Thanks for replying.
  3. 21/aug/17 update

About the update that was today i have frame rate drops every time i shoot a bullet; or when i see some one moving; or someone is shooting at me; or a plane flies over; and it is doubled / tripled when i shoot and enemy shoot and plain flies over.... before this mini-update i had a steady 80fps but now.. in worst case i have 15 fps. What did YOU do?? cant find any PATCH/UPDATE NOTES of this!!??!?!?!?!!?!?!?!?! plz inform me and the rest ps. dont ask me for specs. iam asking you. pss. if i know what you did i can tweak / adjust the flaws on my end. that is why iam asking
  4. Rant, For now, I've stopped playing completely until the game is at a point where it's fun and enjoyable ... For the average casual gamer I am sure they get their kicks and aiming for top 50, but when constantly facing game breaking issues and by some pure chance you manage to get a chicken dinner it's just super frustrating... FPS is utterly poor and FPS drops make it impossible to effectively track and kill targets in dense areas or when there's alot of action.I don't play on a potato, but having to run everything at low just to maintain a playable FPS ( 60+ ) in open areas on my GTX 1080. Hit regs and lag is a REAL bummer ! incosistent and most likely tied to the server tick rates and various client performance issues Movement is clunky and sticky - there's also no ADS option to hold so you are limited in the options ingame to rebind your keys This is starting to turn into another DayZ effort ... Add new content but the core game is still broken ... another year down the line we can probably grow tomatos but still face the FPS drops and poor hit reg. Sadpanda!

  6. Great tutorial on how to improve performance in PUBG. Table of Contents 1.Introduction. 2.Requierment of PUBG. 3.All programs which you need. 4.1 Step to increase performance-game options 4.2 Step to increase performance-Steam 4.3 Step to increase performance-Windows 4.4 Step to increase performance-diagnostic your PC 5.Summation 1.Introduction. Many people have problems to achive acceptable amount of frame per second in Playerunknown's Battlegrounds. That's why i'm made thes tutorial to allow people play in smoth and playable conditions. - So first of all: You have to be patient, geting more FPS's isn't fast task. - Secondly: You have to make the steps in 100% nothing different and more than is written. - Thirdly: If your PC is very old and don't meets requirements of PUBG don't expect pie in the sky, especially when the game is in early access and is still in development and is constantly being optimized. 2.Requierment of PUBG. CPU: Intel Core i3 4340 or AMD FX-6300 GPU:Nvidia GTX 660 2GB or AMD Radeon HD 7850 2GB RAM:6GB OS:64-Bit Windows 7, Windows 8.1, Windows 10 3.All programs which you need. CPU-Z:Identification of your Processor, motherboard,RAM. (http://www.cpuid.com/downloads/cpu-z/cpu-z_1.79-en.exe) - GPU-Z:Identification of your graphics card. (https://www.techpowerup.com/download/techpowerup-gpu-z/) - HWmonitor:Information about temperatures of your GPU&CPU,frequency of your CPU&GPU and voltages(12v,5v,3,3v) (http://www.cpuid.com/downloads/hwmonitor/hwmonitor_1.31.exe) - 3DMark:Program for stressing CPU&GPU. (https://www.futuremark.com/support/downloads) - MSI Afterburner-It is not necessary but you can monitor your fps, temperatures, frequency and memory consumption on live with overlay in game. (https://www.msi.com/page/afterburner) - Memtest64:Check for errors in RAM. (https://www.techpowerup.com/download/techpowerup-memtest64/) - Coreparkingmanager:By that tool you unpark your cores. http://coderbag.com/Programming-C/CPU-core-parking-manager Fan Speed:tool to adjust speed of fan on your CPU cooler. (http://www.almico.com/sfdownload.php) 4.1 Step to increase performance-game options. Setting all option on very low is first thing which we can do. But let's specify what every single of them do and how they imapact on perfomance. - Resolution:I recommend to set it to default value of your monitor, lower it down only if everything else doesn't help. - Screen scale:I recommend to set it to default value of 100, lower it down only if everything else doesn't help. - Smoothing edges(anti aliasing):As name says it smooths edges of objects,it's pretty demanding option and i recommend to lower it to lowest option. - Final Processing:It's pretty demanding option and i recommend to lower it to lowest option. - Shadows quality:It's demanding option and i recommend to lower it to lowest option(but all edges of shadow will be quadratic) only low sentings have"smoth" shadows and the same rendering range. Textures:It's not demanding option but memory hungry if you have: lower then 2GB:lowest. 2GB-Low/med 2GB-4GB:med/high 4GB:high/ultra. 4GB+:ultra. - Effects:It's demanding option and i recommend to lower it to lowest option. - Foliage:Lowest - Field of view:Lowest 4.2 Step to increase performance-Steam. Setting launch option in Steam: -USEALLAVAILABLECORES: This command forces PUBG to use all avaible cores of your procesor. - -refresh 60:This command forces PUBG to refresh monitor with 60hz(if you have gaming monitor with higher refresh rate change the value) - -high:This command forces PUBG to launch with high priority. - -sm4-This command forces PUBG to launch in DirectX10. - malloc=system:This command forces PUBG to launch with highest possible amount of memory available for that application. - -d3d10:This command forces PUBG to launch in DirectX10. - Copy all the line:-USEALLAVAILABLECORES-refresh 60-high-sm4-malloc=system-d3d10 Screenshot of how it should look like: http://i66.tinypic.com/108frcl.jpg Now launch the game and play match if there is problem with launching or operation of game delete one of the commands and check until You find the one causing problem. 4.3 Step to increase performance-Windows There are ways to increase your PC performance by tweaking your OS: Virtual memory If you have lower then 8GB of RAM or 8GB: Go to:My computer->RBM on clear field->properties->Advanced system settings->perfomance-sentings->Advanced->Virtual memory-change->select all you Partitions to:Size controlled by the system. - If you have 16GB or more: Select all you Partitions to:without a paging file. (if will occur error"out of memory" change the virtual memory to:size controlled by the system) Unparking cores of you CPU Many processor does not work on their max frequency that's why we use that tool to force CPU to utilize cores by 100%. - Download->run application->press refresh->drag the slider to 100%->apply->close aplacation. (You don't have to do it again until you don't reinstall OS or make changes in register) Updating drivers and software Update your GPU drivers: AMD:http://support.amd.com/en-us/download NVIDIA:http://www.nvidia.pl/Download/index.aspx?lang=en (you can check your GPU model with GPU-Z) - Update your other drivers: You have to know model and producer of your motherboard, you can check it out with CPU-Z. Now go to website of your producer of motherboard find your motherboard and download all needed drivers (download only driver for your OS,64bit and find the newest version) - Update your Windows: Windows 7: (http://www.wikihow.com/Run-Windows-Update-in-Windows-7) Windows 8: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4WbM1Wblq_U Windows 10: Action Center-> all settings-> updates and security-> check for updates-done 4.4 Step to increase performance-diagnostic your PC If you still achieve very low fps and have drops of fps even if you done every single step before thare are two option: First:Your PC isn't good enough to heldone that kind of game and you have to weit for more optymalizetion progress or upgrade your PC (if You want uprage PC send my private massage i will help you to do it). - Second:Your PC isn't working properly and you need to diagnostic your PC to do that followed next steps: 1. Download and install: CPU-Z GPU-Z HWmonitor 3DMark - 2. Run all of it and stress your PC with 3DMark - 3. After testing with 3dmark ends check: temperature of CPU&GPU (if temp of CPU or GPU was above 80c that man You have problem with cooling your hardware) frequancy of cpu cores and gpu Check what frequency of CPU and GPU you should achieve with CPU-Z and GPU-Z for example i have I5:4690k and on website of intel:https://ark.intel.com/products/80811/Intel-Core-i5-4690K-Processor-6M-Cache-up-to-3_90-GHz is writen that base clock is 3.5ghz and boost is 3.9ghz. I have GPU Palit GTX 980 super jetstream and on website i writen:http://eu.palit.com/palit/vgapro.php?id=2427&lang=pl&pn=NE5X980H14G2-2042J&tab=sp 1304mhz. If your mhz was much lower while your GPU&CPU was stressed that mean you have problem with cooling your hardware. 4. If your CPU&GPU is overheating you can ajust fan speed of GPU with MSI Afterbuner and fan speed of you CPU cooler with FanSpeed - 5. Search for RAM error with Memtest64 6. If your CPU&GPU is working properly and is not overheating, that mean that you need uprage your PC or weit for optymalizetion of PUBG. 5.Summation I hope that i help some of you who have problems with FPS and have good luck on battle royal.
  7. The information provided in this thread is not official, verified, or tested by PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS team. The potential solutions are posted by the community, for the community. ----- It seems like Testers (and I) are getting bad FPS drops with this latest patch that came out. So I thought I'd create a discussion thread around it. My specs w/ the game running on all Medium settings runs at 27 - 45 FPS in-game. Windows 10 / 14393.351 Intel Core i5-6600 3.3GHz Quad-Core Processor Kingston HyperX Fury Black 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1866 EVGA GeForce GTX 950 2GB ATX FTW GAMING Having FPS problems? Post your PC specs here and see if you can get help on how to get better FPS or see why you are getting bad FPS. Note: These solutions won't fix the plane FPS. That's just a FPS bug in general. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Solution 1: Maybe a tip to get better FPS? Step 1: C:\Users\PC NAME\AppData\Local\ShooterGame\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor Step 2: Open the "GameUserSettings" file in the "WindowsNoEditor" folder. Step 3: From here, you can now edit ShadowQuality, PostProcessQuality and more... To whatever you want. Step 4: When you edit the file, right click on the file, go to Properties and check mark it as 'Ready Only.' Note: It's better to edit this in Note Pad++. Note 2: I still get FPS drops from 67 to 51. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Solution 2: It seems like if you want to, you can use all your CPU cores. Right click on the game in Steam Click on 'Properties' Click on 'Set launch options' Add -USEALLAVAILABLECORES -mammoc=system -sm4 to the text box. With this launch command, I get now between 60 - 90 FPS in-game. The game will mostly still drop at times to 40 - 51 FPS due to the game being in Alpha. Thanks to Rexeh (Dev/Admin) from the Battle Royale Games Discord Server showing me this launch command. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Solution 3: Posted by Dayzru Looks like the workaround with setting the CPU cores affinity does work for me. Ran smooth without any freezing for them as stated by Dayzru. Note: If you use the 2nd solution with this 3rd solution. Your CPU may get hot at times. You have been warned. 1: Press ctrl+alt+delete 2: Open task manager 3: Make sure game is running, not just launcher. 4: Go to the tab "Processes" (for Windows 10 users, it's under "Details") 5: Find the one (or two) called something like "PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS" or "Shooter Game." 6: Right click that one 7: Choose 'Set Affinity' 8: Uncheck CPU 3 9: Press OK. The game will now be working. Thanks to the author of the thread: https://www.epicgames.com/paragon/forums/showthread.php?7771-Solution-for-5-sec-freeze-randomly/page2#post_0
